Hi Cake Lovers

I cant believe we are in to February already. Not only that, but the temperatures have dropped so low! It was -7 this morning when I walked my dog! Thank goodness it is warm in my kitchen with the oven going, and smell of cakes wafting through the house.

The Cake House is going through some big changes this year. You may have noticed already that I have a brand spanking new logo, courtesy of Minno Design. They have done a wonderful job and are now going to be working on updating the rest of my website too.

In the meantime however, the show must go on, and the cakes are still being made to order. Lots of lovely cakes for children went out in January, featuring everything from football pitches with edible goals to floppy eared pink bunnies, and even Moshlings...which is a new one for me!

My favourite for January this year was a YSL handbag cake, all hand painted with edible gold, and bursting out of the top of the bag were edible keys, lipstick and even an iphone, with apps of course.

So what will February bring I wonder...other than a large electricity bill.
